"Had a great time. Park ranger was super friendly. They had live music at the amphitheater, and a craft project also. We hiked 6 miles with our dog to the lookout tower and waterfall. What amazing trail, I can't wait to go back."
"Beautiful place with challenging trails, picturesque waterfalls and gorgeous views! We enjoyed the hike and we're pleasantly surprised when only a few drops made down on our heads during the rain... the trees are so thick in the forest here!"
"I love a challenging hike and this one satisfied me. I only did the hanging rock trail today but you could definitely spend all day here hitting the other trails. The view at the end is breathtaking so don't quit halfway. "
"This hiking trail was absolutely stunning. The trail to the hanging cliff wasn't too rough although at one point there was a steep staircase from hell. The view was breathtaking and totally worth it. Definitely my favorite park."
"This place is stunningly beautiful and should be on every hiker's list- not for the intensity of the hike but for the sheer view of at the top. I've been here now three times, twice for the surreal sunset and once for the sunrise. "
"Hanging Rock State Park is one of the most pleasant surprises I have had in all my years in North Carolina. If you enjoy outdoor hiking to truly spectacular view spots, this is one you cannot miss."
